THE BAND HAS A VERY ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN.  THE GEM IS FOILED WHICH SILVER SMITHS STOPPING FOILING THE BACK OF GEMSTONES AROUND 1920 AND HISTORY STATES IT WAS USED IN 2000 BC.  IN THE PAST FOILING WAS LOOKED UPON AS An ENHANCEMENT ALONE.  TODAY THE TECHNIQUE IS NOT REALLY EXCEPTED AND IS NOT NEEDED FOR THE ORIGINAL PURPOSE.

While the styles of the time were in full swing between the 1920s and 1930s and exploded in the mid-1920s thanks to the "Exposition des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Moderns'" held in 1925 in Paris, Art Deco rings may be found dated from 1915 and up to around the mid-1930s.
