GR N2 We have created The Silver Rock Art Collection so people can have access to rings, that because of the gemstone used, will be of an individual nature. There are a lot of artificial stones on the market these days and they all have a sameness about them that tends to ruin the whole gemstone experience. To have a natural gem for a lot of people {including us at Steve and Linda's of the earth gems } is a enjoyment and a pleasure to behold and to have it set in a ring allows us to carry our stone with us without losing it. Often the stone will exhibit natural characteristics making it a individual item. So we at Steve and Linda's of the earth gems have decided to create a range of rings that are one off individual pieces for people who want something that wont be carbon copied to death. We feel that there is a place for jewelry to be an individual experience that is personal and so the concept of The Silver Rock Art Collection came into being. We hope you will enjoy and love what we have created!
This ring has a natural ruby which I cut from a piece of rough which I selected out of the Tanzanian parcel I was fortunate to buy many years ago. When we got the ring evaluated I almost fell off my chair when the gemologist told me it was a ruby. I thought at best it would only be a included red sapphire instead of one of the most rarest stones on the planet. When she told me what it was worth for insurance purposes {$7,899 Aust} I was picking myself back off the floor again! I was seriously tempted to keep it for myself but I had to remind myself that we have a business to run and I can't keep taking all the stock for myself regardless of how much I love my gemstones. Gemval told me the ring is worth $6300 Aust retail ($4650 US } and the wholesale price is $3150 Aust {$2326 US } The reason for the high price is because rubies have become so incredibly rare that finding them is like winning the lottery. It's why there are so many artificial stones produced and other types of treatments and manufacturing practices going on in the world in an attempt to relieve people of their money. We have a small amount of gem rough to be able to cut a few more of these but once it's gone we will not be able to get any more. My wife and I talked it over and decided to ask $,1000 Which is less than half wholesale, some lucky Person will get the chance to own this without paying a mad fortune for it! It is classified as a man's ring but I don't see why a woman couldn't wear it.

I have been faceting gemstones for well over 20 yrs., And have a passion for them for well over 40. We have all natural gems from Australia & Africa. Mother nature provides a variety of colors that artificial stones don't have, as well as having natural inclusions which can be quite attractive or help create beautiful effects within the stone such as colour shift or colour change properties. In this way we hope to create individual pieces of jewellery you would not normally see in the average jewelers window. If you want express post or something different just let us know. We are happy to answer any queries. Unfortunately most of the photos don't do justice for the gemstones in the jewellery. But we have found that if it looks good in the photo then it will be amazing in real life.

Nice ring however stone is dull and the bottom point on the stone extends through the ring and presses on my finger and hurts. I contacted seller with no effort to compromise resolution.
