with facets around the top edge of the rock.

To improve the clarity and stability of the rock before cutting, they are oiled with Cedar oil.

The oil treatment is accepted if it’s been disclosed.

Emeralds have different hues such as blue green, yellow green with green the predominant colour.

Emeralds are graded like any other gemstones with the four Cs, colour, clarity, cut and carat weight. Colour is the most import of the four Cs.
