TIFFANY STONE

SILVER RING

Also called  Opalized Fluorite, Opal Fluorite, Bertrandite, Ice Cream Opalite, Purple Opal.

This is  a natural untreated rough specimen of opal flourite from Utah Usa.This material comes from a beryllium mine and it is becoming  hard to mine in quantity.Tiffany Stone is composed of various  minerals such as bertrandite , beryl, calcite, chalcedony, cobalt, dolomite, fluorite, manganese oxide, rhodonite, quartz, zinc and  white opal potch. The purple color that characterizes Tiffany Stone was created by fluorine gases, while the stricking black-colored veins were caused by manganese oxide; all of which were sealed within the sedimentary layers, becoming opalized over time. Tiffany Stone does not display any opalescence or colour play that is common in Australian opal. This material will flourense a bright green under short wave ultra violet light. It is best to use a mask when cutting this material.

The owner Paul Sedawie is the current president of the Opal Association. and a member of the International colored stone Association. All my life i have enjoyed collecting minerals and fossils .I have been opal mining and now have a large opalized fossil collection of museum quality.I enjoy visiting mines in different parts of the world and try to buy direct off the miner or as close to the source as possible to give you the best deals.I had a factory in asia and a lot of these pieces of jewelery were made there.Natural stones/minerals fascinate me so I dont stock man made- laboratory made stones or imitation stones..I have a few sites at www.opalauctions.com and www.gemrockauctions.com which I head under the Seda group.I believe that your continued business is my business so I hope you enjoy the amazing array and beauty of nature I have to offer.Best Regards Paul Sedawie

Why are users outbidding themselves?

When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.

When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.

Audit

The Gemstone Sheriff program allows our members to request an audit on any product, which is completed by an independent gemologist who assesses the accuracy of the item description and pictures.
