ShangrilaGems mission is to delight our customers with the quality of our service and the beauty of our treasures.
ShangrilaGems is made up of us two directors: husband and wife Sarajane Newlands MSc. English born and bred and Rakesh Acharya MSc. born and bred in the beautiful Indian Himalayas and educated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. As an Anglo-Indian company, we trade both from London and India; specifically the two cities of Dharamshala in the Himalayas and Jaipur in Rajasthan. ShangrilaGems are corporate members of the British Gemmological Association and look to uphold their high standards of gem research and presentation. We trained in gemmology in both the UK and India.
ShangrilaGems are Europe’s best supplier of high quality Gemstones, cabochon and gemstone beads – and unusual jewellery.
Most of our jewellery designs are one off pieces we have designed ourselves or commissioned through our network of highly skilled craftsmen around the globe. We are famous for the quality, originality and quirkiness of our gemstones and jewellery designs.
Our customers include gem re-sellers in the London gem district (Hatton Garden) High end designers and both British and International gem and bead wholesalers. They make the most beautiful jewellery with our treasures and they also use some of our own designs for inspiration.
