This is a well made and polished coral fossil earrings from Indonesia.This is ancient coral that has been turned in to a  fossil.It is mined on land that has been a raised sea bed.

The eye patterns of  are excellent and it has been dyed which enhances the patterns.The workmanship is excellent.

Fossil coral is a natural stone that is formed when ancient coral is gradually replaced with agate. The proper name for this material is agatized coral or agatized fossil coral. The fossilized coral typically appears as small flower-like patterns in the stone.
